The Friendship Project
How to find your tribe as an adult
When did it become this hard to make friends?
Friendship seemed effortless in our teens and twenties, right?
After all, many of us had unlimited hours to devote to friendships and last-minute road trips / movies / dinners were easy to make happen.
Friendship seemed effortless in our teens and twenties, right?
After all, many of us had unlimited hours to devote to friendships
and last-minute road trips / movies / dinners were easy to make happen.
But in your 30s, 40s and beyond, female friendship can feel, well, HARD.
Suddenly it’s difficult to make friends and break into already established friendship groups. It’s tricky to prioritise friendships when kids, teens, ageing parents, pets and jobs take precedence over long phone calls or weekends away with a bestie. It’s exhausting knowing how to navigate friendships you’ve outgrown or knowing how to respond to friends who appear to have outgrown you.
So what are we going to do about it?
In this six-part audio series authors, broadcasters and friends Bec, Sarah and Lise deep dive into what makes adult friendships hum and the factors which make them unravel.
From fine-tuning our adult friendship radar and conversation starters to how to turn casual acquaintances into proper friends - they’ve got you covered and will deliver practical tips on how to up your friendship game. What about frenemies, fallouts and forgotten friends?
The trio workshop how to swerve around fake friends, side-step drama and repair friendships that have gone pear-shaped.
The Friendship Project is the audio series for women longing for connection, conversation and community.
It’s for every woman who secretly longs to have a best friend.
Every woman standing at the school gate feeling lonely.
Every woman who wants to be invited to long lunches or included in girls’ weekends away.
It’s for every woman wondering, “What happened to my FRIENDS? I used to be great at making friends and now … I’m wondering where they are. What’s wrong with me?”
