In one
you can become a force for good in the world.
Get out your cape. Kindness Warriors is waiting for you.
There's so much
I want for my kids.
I want them to read and read and read. And I want them to be critical thinkers.
I want them to experience the real joy and mateship of playing a team sport. I want them to find their spark and appreciate other cultures around the world. I want them to be able to cook a decent Sunday roast and put on a load of washing and know the importance of living a life of integrity. I want them to know they are loved for exactly who they are. And I want them to be resilient – to see the joy in the smallest of things and to realise that whatever curveballs life throws at them, they have it within them to get back up and keep going.
In a world that at times feels like it’s getting colder and crueller, I want my children to be a force for good. I want them to be capable of seeing more than their own point of view. I want them to understand the power of a kind word, an offer of help and an act of service and how it enriches your life in ways you cannot imagine.
So that’s why I created
I’m doing it for myself as much as you. Because while I want to make kindness a priority in our lives – in the day to day it’s easy to push volunteering and acts of kindness to the side in the rush to get everything else done.
As the world increasingly becomes “ME ME ME” I want to start actively putting empathy at the forefront of our lives.
Here’s how I’m going to do it…
You’re about to become an active force for good.
Every month you’ll receive an act of kindness challenge in your inbox and you’ll have four weeks to make it happen and spread a big of magic in your community. And then I want you to share your experience in a private closed Facebook group.
For just $5 a month (so that’s the cost of maybe one takeaway coffee), you’ll receive a monthly kindness challenge to complete. From baking biccies for your local police station to writing a thank you letter to someone who has helped you – the challenges will be simple but powerful.
Plus:
The best bit is that ALL of the profits from this club goes towards
The Pyjama Foundation was founded in 2004 to give children in foster care the opportunity to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills, and confidence.
Alarmed at the statistics highlighting poor literacy and numeracy levels of children in care, and how this contributes to a lifetime of disadvantage, founder Bronwyn Sheehan made a decision – a decision to offer hope and a more positive outlook for these children.
Through a simple program known as the Love of Learning Program, volunteers called Pyjama Angels are matched with a child in care, and spend just one hour a week focusing on learning based activities. Pyjama Angels read books aloud, play educational games, and help children with their homework. In that time, they demonstrate that this child is valued and loved.
