The Brick Wall Lesson
I know, it’s a brick wall. BORING.
Except that I show this image in pretty much every friendship talk I give.

Because that brick wall perfectly demonstrates what it takes to build a strong friendship. Those robust, best-friendships are made one brick at a time. Brick by brick by brick.
Every brick in that wall represents a time you showed up for your friend.
You rang her to check how her dog’s surgery went? BRICK ![]()
You helped her move house (even though you’d rather eat a box of hair than lug boxes around)? BRICK. ![]()
You sent her a card or a text or even a bottle of wine when she started her new job? BRICK. ![]()
You offered to pick her kids up from school when she was stuck at a meeting? BRICK. ![]()
You apologised when you were snappy one afternoon at school pick up? BRICK ![]()
When she told you about the problems her teen son was having and you didn’t blab about it to other mums? BRICK ![]()
Strong, robust friendships TAKE EFFORT. No-one is perfect but if you want a brick-wall friendship that lasts — you have to put the bricks in.
If your tween or teen could use some help on understanding how to build strong, loyal friendships, you can get advice right now with the instant access to my webinar HOW TO FIND GREAT FRIENDS.
